ECPAC MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Ecumenical Council Pasadena Area Congregations is to alleviate
the effects of poverty, to encourage self sufficiency through the collective
efforts of congregations, individuals and community organizations and
to promote mutual support, understanding and collaboration within the
faith community.
ECPAC
has been involved in the Pasadena religious community since its inception.
Some of our recent religious activities have been:
1. We participate with other clergy in the Black History Month parade.
2. We hold a very inspirational Community Ecumenical Good Friday service
at a local church each year
3. We hold enjoyable clergy lunches with interesting speakers to promote
collegiality and harmony among different denominations.
4. We serve as the faith based representative in local civic affairs.
For example we have served as the coordinator of the Faith Based Committee
for the 2010 Census.
5. We promote the work of Church Women United and led their spring worship
service each year in the spring.
6. We join with community and church groups, such as the Interdenominational
Ministerial Alliance (IMA), Clergy Community Coalition (CCC), and the
All Saints' Creative Connections Program.
ECPAC

1. Member
of the Housing and Homeless network.
2. Member of the Mayor’s Committee for the United Nations Human
Rights Celebration.

Vote
passes! ECPAC congregations have voted to approve a change in
the bylaws to expand ECPAC membership to include all faith based groups,
to change the name of the organization to Ecumenical Council of Pasadena
Area Congregations, and to bring in two new members congregations, Crescenta
Valley United Methodist Church and Summit Evangelical Church. Thank you
all for submitting your votes.
